Marion Cultural Alliance - Poster Unraveling a Great Success

Last year's poster party unraveling was a wonderful time. Members from all over the community came out to show their support for the Ocala marathon. The winning poster for the 2010 Ocala marathon was made by Marion county resident Darlene Weesney. Darlene won $500 for her winning submission. Darlene has been a long time resident of Marion County and is the author of "History of Marion county". We would like to thank all the community members for coming out and making this poster party a great time!

YMCA of Marion County - The Official Training Partner

The YMCA of Marion county has much to offer to all athletes including: The runners in training form, swimming (heated in the winter), cycling class, indoor cardio machines, and resistance training. This also includes trainers who specialize and have experience in endurance training. In fact, YMCA trainers will be available twice a month at the YMCA Ocala (through until the race) to specifically meet with runners interested/involved with training for the Ocala marathon events. This will also involve follow up contact to those who prefer not to meet.
